The folder must be "Interface/Addons/PocketPalette" in order for it to work properly. Renaming the folder or putting it in sub-folders will cause things to break.

The Pocket Palette window is shown using the slash command /PP

Buttons:

Refresh: Reloads some specific data, fx. number of dye counts. Mainly left for debugging purpose.

Paperdoll: Shows the character window.

Show/Hide: Minimizes part of the PP window, for easier viewing of the ingame character model. Intended for lower resolutions.

Dye Picker: Selected/active dye is shown in the top.

Name filter: Enter any partial dye name to apply this filter to the dye list. Remove input to clear filter.

Ordering: Rearrange the dye list fx. "Count" shows the dyes in possion in a descending order.

Type: Pick between the regular diffuse ("flat") dyes, the new specular ("shiny") dyes, or both.

Click on dye in the list to set it as selected/active

Item Slots:

Mouse click to set the selected/active dye for a specific item slot.

Left click sets the primary dye color.

Right click sets the secondary dye color.

Clicking twice with the same dye color clears the dye.

Setting dye colors in the "All" item slot, has a lower priority than dye colors in an actual item slot and will be overruled by this.

2026-04-04: Added dye IDs 638 to 649 from the Mitterfruhl Easter 2026 event to PocketPalette: Golden Griffon, Deathclaw Brown, Jade Temple Green, Reikwald Green, Hagercrybs Teal, Celestial Blue, Imperial Fleet Blue, Bogenhafen Violet, Carroburg Crimson, Talabec Red, Kindleflame, and Imperial Gold. These dyes were already previewable before this update, and adding them to PocketPalette now makes sure they keep the correct colors and preview behavior.

Pocket Palette now shows new dyes added in game without needing an addon update, but those new dyes will be missing full color/details until the shipped CSV is refreshed; tooltips are clearer about dye source, the shipped dye list was updated with new dyes (624–637), and there is a simple script to refresh the shipped CSV from your game files.

No changes. It looks like Idrinth's website might now be fixed and correctly tracking new versions on the front page (the updated GuardPack has appeared) so I have bumped the version number by 0.0.1 as a test. Literally no need to download this version of the add-on.

Added a new drop-down box to pick between diffuse (normal/flat) and specular (shiny) dyes. This replaces having to search for "SPECULAR" in the text box. In addition, I have de-minified/de-obfuscated most of the code so if anyone else wants to hack on this add-on then it should now make sense. I have no idea why the original author went to such lengths to make it hard for people to alter this add-on :/.

To anyone who updates the dye list in PocketPalette.csv in the future: please be sure to keep the first two rows in PocketPalette.csv as those header names are used by the add-on to extract the colours.

Updated with new dyes from the "Live Event: Night of Murder" patch (9th February 2023). To find the new specular dyes, search for "SPECULAR" within the addon. I have also made the addon window slightly wider so dyes with longer names show properly.
